Rating: - * Effective and Good Value ... I like this product very much: it performs as advertised, is easy to assemble and appears to be well made. My only issue is with the hanging "system." Using a regular hanger makes steaming shirts and trousers difficult. In retrospect, I would have preferred an arrangement similar to Conair's. Nevertheless, still a good product overall. "I LOVE IT" this has been the BEST purchase I have ever made. I had procrastinated for years and regret not buying one earlier in my life. Between work, kids and their school, home etc., I do not have time to iron but I do it anyway and hate it. Hate it because of the white streak marks left on my work pants, sweaters and skirts. Once I received the box, opened it and assembled the steamer it took all of about 5 minutes. It was an easy set up, filled the steamer with water and a minute later it was ready to go steaming away! I ironed my clothes for today in a snap I steam-pressed EVERYTHING I could get my hands on. I ran out of H20 and went back for another load. I pressed clothes that have been waiting to be ironed for two years. I cleaned my arm-chair (unbelievable) and took a couple of stains out an area rug. Good thing we don't have a poodle or it would be running around with straight hair right now. and they looked like they just came out of the drycleaners. I am sooo happy. You will not regret it. Rating: - * The Best Steamer ! ... I have had three garment steamers and the last one was the most expensive and after much research, highly rated It died after less then one year and I wanted to find one which was better and again, I did quite a bit research. Apparently Smartek is the best unless you want a professional steamer you may need for a company. I received this one last week, just in time to steam my huge winter wardrobe. The design is excellent!! It is far more powerful then any steamer I have had and the smaller tank means nothing, so easy to fill with regular water, not distilled. If you want to steam heavy cotton, I do not think any steamer will do the job. I would recommend this steamer to everyone! Rating: - * Broken after 1 month. ... The steamer has a great 1 minute warm up, but only after 1 month, the stand which holds the steamer started to bend and lean over. Of course I did not see this in any other review so just be warned. Rating: - * I'll never use my iron again.... ... ...okay, maybe to do creases on trousers. This steamer is da bomb. I steamed two pairs of cargo pants, one pair of jeans, 20 linen napkins, four cotton blouses (Anthropologie styles, with trim and funky pleating), and a table cloth in 45 minutes, with one container full of water. It made every piece look almost as though it just came back from the cleaners--and without any threat of that horrid melted-fabric shine you get when you hold a hot iron over a pocket for too long. I was even able to use it in conjunction with a little Oxy Clean laundry spray to get some red wine stains out of my white linen table cloth. It worked like magic steaming them right out in about 2 minutes. With just a follow-up rinse, dry and full steaming, the table cloth looked new again. I can't wait to try it on my wool and cashmere sweaters this winter. I'm looking forward to keeping them in like-new shape and texture without dry cleaning or hand-washing. I'll never have that giant pile of hand-washing staring me down ever again! |

Where the NBA Dynasty series (the other initial entry is the slightly meatier Los Angeles Lakers: The Complete History) outdoes Ultimate Jordan is in the six playoff games--one for each year--as they were originally broadcast, minus halftime and commercials. Having the nearly complete game (usually running 90-100 minutes, from the TV introductions to post-game interviews) means you can skip straight to John Paxson's clutch basket or what was expected to be the final shot of Jordan's career. Or you can savor each game in its entirety, all the better to appreciate the artistry of Jordan in his three-pointer barrage against Portland or his "flu game" against Utah. You can see other great players too, of course, including Jordan's teammates--Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman--and those opponents unfortunate enough to face the Bulls--Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, and others. Because these are all NBA Finals games, you won't see Jordan's shot over Craig Ehlo or his 63-point coming-out party against Boston, but the 1990s Chicago Bulls were a team for the ages, and merely having their games--some of them all-time classics--available for home viewing is a major milestone in archived sports. --David Horiuchi

While last-minute heroics tend to be the standard by which we define excellence, there are many other moments that have left an indelible impression, many of them highlighted here. The video clips fall into 10 categories: Dunks, Alley-oops, Assists, Steals, Blocks, Teamwork, the Clutch Shot, Moves, Hustle, and Buzzer-Beaters. At the beginning of each section is a brief introduction. Before showing the top 10 dunks of all time, for example, we learn about the evolution of the dunk--from the first slam to the man who could fly, Michael Jordan--and we hear background commentary from NBA legends such as Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Dr. J, and Bill Russell. This video recalls familiar moments of NBA lore that you will want to own for countless repeat viewings. --Jeremy Storey
